More Sticky, Sony Invests Another 200 Million US Dollars in Epic Games

Although it was reported that it was losing money because of the Epic Games Store, this doesn’t seem to worry Epic Games too much. Because, recently Epic Games has completed a funding target of US$1 billion to support the company’s growth. Interestingly, the funding target was achieved thanks to an investment from Sony. This is also not the first time Sony has done this, because last year they also invested in Epic Games for US$250 million.

The investment made through the Sony Group Corporation has made their relationship even stronger. Epic Games also explained that this investment was built thanks to the close relationship between the two companies because they have the same mission. Sony itself feels that Epic Games continues to make revolutionary steps in the field of technology, especially digital entertainment. Thanks to the shared mission, the relationship between the two big companies is getting closer.

The relationship between Sony and Epic Games has indeed developed significantly. Especially since Epic Games debuted the Unreal Engine 5 technology demo running on PS5. Not to mention the collaboration of the two popular games. Like the presence of Kratos from God of War who entered the world Fortnite. So is Aloy from Horizon Zero Dawn made his debut in Fortnite starting next week.

It’s interesting to see this good relationship between Sony and Epic Games. Will both of them give birth to technology or even popular games in the future? Let’s look forward to it together.
