Panic Introduces Handheld Console Called Playdate
Competition for next-generation consoles seems to be getting busier with the arrival of new players. May 23, 2021, Panic announced their new console called Playdate. Unlike the next generation of consoles that prioritize good visuals, the Playdate actually comes with a black and white screen.
Even though it looks old-fashioned with a black and white screen, Playdate is also equipped with today’s features such as Wi-Fi, bluetooth, USB-C, and slots for headphones.
Playdate has a slightly unique system. This handheld will provide one game per week for 12 weeks in a season. The game is immediately available in the system according to an undisclosed schedule.
Playdate is scheduled to be released in 2021 with a price tag of US $ 149 (approximately Rp. 2.1 million). Interested in buying it?
Oh yeah, the crank! No, it doesn’t power the device. It’s a flip-out rotational controller that puts a fresh spin on fun. Some games use it exclusively, some use it with the d-pad, and some not at all. pic.twitter.com/XYW97nLZKK

But here’s the trick: every game is a secret. They’re all included with system, and they will be delivered to you each week, for a few months.
Our dream is simple: that you wake up on new game day excited to see what you can play next. pic.twitter.com/gq6woriP4h
