RRQ Hoshi Wins Title, Beats Alter Ego
Mobile Legends Professional League Indonesia (MPL ID) Season 6 has provided a number of exciting matches that did not disappoint. From Alter Ego vs Bigetron, Onic Esports vs Alter Ego, and RRQ Hoshi vs Bigetron. Finally, the two teams that qualified on Saturday (17/10), RRQ Hoshi and Alter Ego, competed in the peak of MPL ID Season 6 on Sunday (18/10).
The duel between RRQ Hoshi and Alter is one of the most intense matches in MPL history. The two teams looked quite balanced in the first four games with a score of 2-2, until finally they had to advance to the fifth game to determine the title.
MPL ID Season 6: RRQ Hoshi vs Alter Ego
Game 1
The first game was won by Alter Ego where the team relied on the heroes YSS, Valir, Barats, Yu-Zhong, and Khufra. In 15 minutes, Alter Ego won the score 15-6.
Games 2
Learning from the first game, RRQ Hoshi finally managed to fight Alter Ego in the second game by securing first picks on Barats and Lancelot. Vyn of course chose Khaleed (his main hero with a hundred percent winrate record!) and Lemon with Eudora. Within 10 minutes, RRQ Hoshi conquered the second game with a score of 19-4.
Games 3
The third game was running pretty fast. RRQ Hoshi dominated the early minutes. Alberttt managed to get 9 kills and 7 assists in the early game without dying. On the other hand, Alter Ego is unable to fight back, despite using a series of strong fighter heroes. Finally, RRQ Hoshi won the score 24-10, and gained a 2-1 score advantage.
Games 4
Entering the fourth game, Alter Ego did not give up. The match was controlled by Ahmad who used Yu Zhong and managed to get MVP with 16 kills, 6 assists, and only 2 deaths. Until in the 19th minute, Alter Ego was able to maintain its power, and won 28-13. The score returned to balance to 2-2.
Games 5
The fifth game, the decisive game that made all fans and players flutter. RRQ Hoshi surprised the audience (and possibly AE) by using two Marksman. Alter Ego had taken the lead in the early minutes, but RRQ Hoshi made sure to beat the opponent. Until finally in the 13th minute, they managed to spend Alter Ego and get Lord.
However, the Alter Ego’s defense was too strong. Despite having four Lords, RRQ Hoshi had a hard time destroying the main turret. Alter Ego also had time to storm the base of RRQ Hoshi, but Alberttt managed to defend his base.
In the end, RRQ Hoshi scored a total of 33-32 points and was crowned MPL Indonesia Season 6 champion with a final score of 3-2
This thin score difference shows that RRQ Hoshi’s struggle to get the championship title is not an easy thing. On the other hand, despite failing to create history, Alter Ego has shown an outstanding performance!
With this MPL ID S6 title, RRQ Hoshi won a prizepool of US$ 300,000 (Rp 4 billion). This victory also shows that RRQ Hoshi is the only team that has won MPL ID twice in a row and has won the most MPL titles (3 titles!).
