Two Agents Will Get Buffs in Patch 1.13
Valorant is preparing a patch update. Developers will make several additions including adjustments to existing agents. Sage, one of the popular agents since its initial release, seems to be undergoing adjustments.
Sage has very useful abilities, namely heal for the team and Ice Barrier which is very useful for blocking enemies. while the ultimate skill is extraordinary compared to other agents, namely Resurrection, it can resurrect a dead friend.
Sage gets a lot of complaints from players because it is considered too overpowered in terms of Healing, Barrier and Resurrection skills. In response to this, Valorant developers will do nerf on Sage so it might make the pick rate drop drastically. But in patch 1.13 Sage will get a very significant buff.
Riot makes Sage unable to install Barrier before the round begins where this nerf makes it very difficult for Sage to withstand very fast enemy attacks such as Jett or Raze. These changes will stick with Sage for the time to come. Riot j confirmed that the buff update given to Sage will focus on Barriers.
“We have a small balance change planned to bring some strength back into the barrier,” Riot tweeted.
Patch 1.13 may be released after the First Strike competition ends, namely December 8, 2020 because it is unlikely that the update will be carried out in the middle of an ongoing competition.
“It seems impossible, we withheld all changes (updates) during First Strike. We thought he (Viper) did need a little help but it looks like after a few more patches Viper got a substantial boost.” Altombre said in a reply to his post on reddit.
