"We want better and cheaper skins!" - Apex Legends community request

Skins are a frequent source of complaints in the Apex Legends community, and often appear in forum posts every week. As a free-to-play game with a diverse and unique line-up of characters, skins are a solution for players to customize their characters. It doesn’t matter where you got the skin from, people already know that most Apex Legends skins have the same problem. He’s bored.

“It’s a bit of a joke, but the color change on the skin really doesn’t matter. I’d rather have a choice of 3 or 4 major skins than 20 or 30 skins that have different color palettes.”

Said a forum author.

That’s the formula for the big issue of Apex Legends skins. Most of them consist of an altered color palette. For example, I took the Legendary and Epic Bloodhound skins. Due to the rarity, the skins have to be the best among the best, the most attractive, and simply amazing. In reality, almost all of these skins are a bit bland – and only added new colors. The most notable changes appear in the Royal Guard or Imperial Warrior skins, which add a few details that make the Bloodhound more of a samurai aesthetic.

This is a common thing in every character skin set. Fairly good skins like the Gibralter skin also don’t run away from this issue. It’s true that the legendary skin is more exciting, but only a little. Just like Bloodhound, Gibraltar’s four legendary skins consist of only two outfits, but each pair of skins is colored differently.

That’s just what we discussed about character skins. Not to mention the article on skin weapons. I figure it out. A weapon will only show off the skin of your choice if the player is the first to encounter this weapon on the map. Seeing as Apex Legends requires players to always be on guard and look for better weapons and gear, no matter where it comes from, it’s not guaranteed that you will see your weapon skin spread for as much as RM80.

“Almost all of my weapons were obtained from corpses and not from dirt in most battles. So of course this is someone else’s skin. Why would I spend $18 (RM80) for a skin that I can’t see even if I’m holding the gun?”

The in-game economy complicates matters again. The price is too high. $18 is a lot of value for someone buying a skin. With that price, it’s enough to buy another game on Steam.
