We quote it because despite the many technical problems that ruined the gaming experience, Cyberpunk 2077 itself proved to be a successful seller with high numbers.

This claim was further strengthened after the party CD Project RED announced that the game has sold 13.7 million copies worldwide. This result is only calculated from its sales in 2020 alone based on a series of data from distributors. Since we are currently entering the fourth month of 2021, it is certain that the original sales figures have increased, although it is quite difficult to feel how significant the increase is.

This announcement is enough to invite satire from fans who think that CD Projekt RED only wants to satisfy investors. We can see it indeed, but at least they have committed not to leave Cyberpunk 2077 and will continue to improve the quality until it meets expectations. So you could say this announcement is just a form of celebration.

There is also interesting additional information that gives a percentage of its sales on each platform. It is known that about 56% of Cyberpunk 2077 sold so far came from the PC/Stadia version, followed by 28% for the PlayStation 4, and then 17% for the Xbox One version.
