Mihoyo Ready to Sell Keqing Themed Mechanical Keyboard from Genshin Impact
The increasing dominance of Genshin Impact as one of the most successful free-to-play games today certainly makes Mihoyo more motivated to popularize the game. One of the ways to be taken, of course, is to prepare an official line of merchandise that never fails to attract the attention of fans. This claim is not a joke, because recently Mihoyo has even exhibited special merchandise in the form of a mechanical keyboard with the Keqing character theme.
The keyboard, which is ready to be marketed starting in early June 2021, is pegged at 868 yuan, or almost IDR 2 million. The main selling point of this keyboard lies in the design section which is dominated by purple and various design motifs that are typical of Keqing. For example, the Q and E keys have been replaced with Keqing’s Skill and Elemental Burst icons, but there is also an added keycap for those who want a more normal look.
In addition, this keyboard also features an RGB effect behind each keycap which makes it look more striking, especially if you keep using the purple color combination. The presence of this merchandise certainly opens up opportunities for Mihoyo to make mechanical keyboard versions of other characters, which will definitely remain a target item because every character in Genshin Impact has its own fanatical fan base.
One thing that we feel is the drawback of this mechanical keyboard may be in the Keqing character artwork that is pasted in some letters. From an aesthetic point of view, these artworks actually make the keyboard look less elegant. Maybe it would be much better if Mihoyo made exclusive artwork that could be more adapted to the keyboard design.
