Guilty Gear Strive Prepares Second Open Beta with Added New Characters

Arc System Works has a high reputation as the most experienced developer in working on fighting games. After successfully proving its ability in concocting many cool fighting games including Dragon Ball FighterZ which is probably their most successful project so far, ArcSys has returned to focusing on its favorite original franchise which is none other than Guilty Gear. After a long hiatus from a completely new series, this franchise finally has a new game that looks very promising through Guilty Gear Strive.

While preparing for its imminent release, this game happens to be opening its second Open Beta access from 13 to 16 May. Still presenting the same access as the previous session, this second Open Beta will bring two new characters into the main roster, namely Anji Mito and I-NO. There’s also an option to select English audio for players who might be interested in playing the game in that language.

Access to content offered from the Open Beta includes a choice of four game modes, namely Versus, Tutorial, Training and Network. So in addition to being able to practice and learn the basics of the main gameplay, players are presented with the option to fight against the CPU, other players in local co-op access, and also online matchmaking with players around the world.

As additional information, those who have downloaded data from the first Open Beta only need to update it, so they don’t have to worry about the possibility to download it again. Access to online games also does not require an active PlayStation Plus subscription. And the last is the availability of cross-play access with players using PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

When is the Game Released?

Guilty Gear Strive is scheduled to be released on June 11 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam. Players who bought the game in the Deluxe and Ultimate Edition versions will be able to play this game earlier on June 8.
