Life is Strange: True Colors Officially Announced, No Longer Release in Episodes!

The presentation session of Square Enix Presents: Spring 2021 which just ended a few moments ago brought a series of surprises and very interesting new game updates. For the main menu of the event, we will discuss the game that has been teaser by Square Enix since the beginning, namely the latest series for the Life is Strange franchise. The newest game was officially announced this time under the name Life is Strange: True Colors.

This latest series has many striking differences, ranging from naming that does not follow the numbers to the role of the development team which this time has shifted to the hands of Deck Nine Games. But of the many new changes, one of the happiest is the confirmation that this game will be released in a “full” way. This means that fans don’t have to wait for the release of this game in Episodic form which can take a long time if you look at the cases of the two previous Life is Strange series.

Life is Strange: True Colors itself tells the story of a teenage girl named Alex Chen, who one day discovers the mysterious power of Empathy that can be used to read a person’s emotions and aura. With this power, Alex takes an adventure full of twists and turns to unravel the mystery of his brother’s death.

The focus of the gameplay, of course, still focuses on the deep and emotional aspects of storytelling. More than just enjoying the story, it seems that in this game players will be given more freedom to do various side activities. One of these activities also relates to the main character’s role as a DJ, playing mini-games, and much more in its DLC content that allows players to play as Steph.

When is the Game Released?

For those of you who can’t wait for the game, Life is Strange: True Colors is set to release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Stadia and PC via Steam. The game is marketed in standard, Deluxe, and Ultimate versions, each of which offers various bonus content including a remastered version of the original Life is Strange game.
