New Champions and Closed Beta in League of Legends: Wild Rift

New Champions and Closed Beta in League of Legends: Wild Rift

Today League of Legends: Wild Rift, the mobile version of League of Legends, announced a Closed Beta in select regions and 6 new champions.

First of all regarding the Closed Beta, Riot will select certain players in the Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. This Closed Beta will start on September 16th, but not all regions will start at once. Riot will open Closed Beta in each region one by one and they will add more players during this beta period.

Here’s the schedule they provide:

  • 16 September: Indonesia (test with a small number of invitees)
  • September 18: Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand
  • Early October: Closed Beta will be suspended for a few days, and all accounts will be completely reset.
  • All other territories will come at a later date.

This Regional Closed Beta will prioritize Android, but there will be a small group of players to choose from to test on iOS. So far, Riot doesn’t have an exact closing date for this Closed Beta test, but they have planned it to last for a few weeks. Read the Closed Beta announcement here.

These champs wanted in on the fun, and we just couldn’t tell them no. Hit the Rift with one of six new champions for Closed Beta: Dr. Mundo, Sona, Jarvan IV, Singed, Varus, and Amumu.
