New Trailer Releases, Game Kimetsu no Yaiba - Hinokami Keppuutan Showcases Giyu Tomioka's Cool Action!

Demon Slayer’s position in the anime industry is currently at the peak of increasingly dominating popularity. Apart from the anime adaptation which is getting more and more booming especially after the screening of the Mugen Train movie, this series has finally received a new game adaptation by CyberConnect2. The game, entitled Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Hinokami Keppuutan, is a cool fighting arena that brings a roster of iconic characters, and recently the developer also showed off the action of one of the fans’ favorite characters, Giyu Tomioka.

The fifth gameplay video of Kimetsu no Yaiba – Hinokami Keppuutan shows Giyu and his fighting style that relies on water breathing techniques. In addition to having a fairly good attack speed and range, Giyu also seems to have the best defense compared to other characters that have been shown so far. Instead of being curious, you can see the gameplay trailer below.

Despite taking inspiration from Naruto Storm, it seems that the combo variations in this game are more limited, such as how the finisher animation at the end of the combo has so far only accommodated consecutive attacks, and unlike in Naruto Storm which has more than one variation.

The roster shown so far is still limited to the main characters, so in the future we can anticipate the details of the Pillars. If you follow the plot of the anime adaptation, our predictions that the Pillar members that will appear in this game are still limited to Giyu, Shinobu, and Kyojuro only. As we discussed in previous articles, this directly opens up the possibility that the game will get a sequel in the future. Examples such as how Naruto Storm continues to four games that continue the story of the series to the end.

When is the Game Released?

For those who can’t wait for the game, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Hinokami Keppuutan is scheduled for release this year. For the platform, this game will be available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam.
