Pre-register Wild Rift for iOS, Open Beta and More News

Riot has released the latest information regarding League of Legends: Wild Rift for the iOS platform. In addition, their latest Dev Diary provides the latest updates regarding the open beta, releases in other regions, and new champions.

So far Wild Rift has opened their Closed Beta Test (CBT) in select regions around the world. At the moment, their CBT focus is on various Asian regions such as Southeast Asia, Japan, and South Korea. But only summoners who use the Android platform can participate in this CBT. Following their announcement that Wild Rift is coming to iPhone 12, Riot has pre-registered for Wild Rift on the Apple Store for summoners living in CBT regions. For readers interested in pre-registering, follow this link.

Meanwhile, Riot’s latest Dev Diary covers a wide variety of topics. The first is the Open Beta Test. Currently if someone wants to play Wild Rift, they have to pre-register on the Play Store and hope that they are selected for access.

Starting from October 27th, Open Beta will start for Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Philippines, Japan, and South Korea. With this, all players can immediately register and play Wild Rift without pre-registering. In certain areas, summoners can also use their Riot account to earn additional in-game rewards.

This Dev Diary also talks about bringing Wild Rift to other regions. In the first week of December, Riot hopes to bring Wild Rift to Europe, Taiwan, Oceania and Vietnam. The Americas region will have to wait for the spring of 2021 which is around March of next year.

Lastly, Riot talked about the seven new champions that will be coming to Wild Rift in the near future. First is Lee Sin who will be a permanent addition. The other six champions – K/DA members Evelynn, Akali, Kai’Sa, and Seraphine, as well as Darius and Draven – are coming as ‘previews’ for all players to play until October 27th.
