Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown Accidentally Leaked First on PlayStation Store

In the midst of the dominance of Street Fighter and Tekken, which are very strong in the fighting game community, many still hope that some legendary franchise names can get back up again. One of them is Virtua Fighter, which is quite widely known as the most popular fighting game franchise on the Arcade platform and always offers consistent quality. Even though it’s been a long hiatus, recently there have been strong signs or you could say it’s a leak that one of the best series is coming back.

This leak first appeared from the PlayStation Store in Japan and Asia which added the name Virtua Fighter eSports. The “Virtua Fighter x eSports Project” that SEGA announced last year may have something to do with this game, which turns out to be not a new series but a re-release for Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown.

Because it is a project that is marketed quite ambitiously, at least we think this latest version will present a significant overhaul. Whether from the quality of the graphics or the mechanics of the gameplay, it’s clear that fans still have a lot of question marks about how the game will be brought back to the modern era as it is now.

For those of you who are still unfamiliar with Virtua Fighter 5, this game is the fifth in SEGA’s popular fighting game franchise. This game received a very positive reception from many critics and fans as the best fighting game of its time, where the gameplay is really formulated with excellent and precise mechanics, especially from its accessibility which is considered far better than any other fighting game.

We will continue to monitor the latest developments regarding this leak and will report it if there is an official announcement/update.
