WELCOME TO ESL ONE GENTING 2018 IN MALAYSIA
After last year’s success, ESL One again held a Dota 2 tournament in Southeast Asia on January 26-28 2018. ESL One Genting 2018 which took place at Resort World Genting, Malaysia became the spotlight of the Dota world. Apart from being the first minor held by Malaysia, ESL has now released details that they will provide spots for 16 teams compared to other minors which amount to 12.
There is a significant difference between ESL One Genting in 2017 and 2018, starting from the prizepool which has increased from $250,000 to $400,000, besides this will be the first Minor Tournament for Malaysia which automatically makes the results of this tournament will affect the ranking of Qualifying Points for The International 2018.
The event which consists of 16 teams will later extend the group stage. It’s not yet clear what sections of the ESL minor will feature from January 26 to 28. The Qualification date, invited teams, and other details have also not been revealed by ESL.
