7 Features Expected to Come to Among Us

Among Us had become a byword for gamers and had become a favorite game in 2021. Its unique and exciting gameplay makes this game loved by multiplayer game lovers. Add more Among Us has many unique features, from various customization options for characters to unique gameplay mechanics.

The developer also promises further development for Among Us to the point of canceling the sequel project. With lots of update plans, here are some features that will make Among Us be more fun.

Larger Lobby Capacity

This time, Among Us only allow up to 10 players per lobby. This is not a bad thing actually, but with a lobby that can accommodate more players it will make the game even more exciting.

For numbers, we think developers can increase the lobby capacity to 15 players. By accommodating more players, the number of Impostors can also increase and this will allow even more lies to be discovered in the game.

Friend System

Until now, there is no Friend system in Among Us to find and add friends to play with. The game relies on Room Codes that creators can send to friends separately in order to sign in and join.

It’s easier to create a Room and invite people directly. Also, popular game streamers have to hide the Room Code to prevent anyone from joining. Assigning an ID to each player and allowing players to create a lobby for friends registered with the friendship system seemed like a logical feature.

Additional Maps

This feature is one of the most requested features for Among Us at the moment. Until now, players are getting used to playing in the same three maps: Skeld Headquarters, Polus, and Mira. The presence of a new map will certainly bring a unique experience for players and so that the game does not become boring.

The developers themselves have announced that a new map is in the works, but adding just one map may not quench the thirst of players. Apart from just developing their own maps, it would be interesting if they allowed players to create their own custom maps.

Traps

Another gameplay element that can be useful and enjoyable for cheaters is the use of traps. The Impostors can sabotage the lights and reactors on the map, but what if they were able to set their own traps?

This feature should also be limited such as only being able to use one trap per game. But still the Trap feature will make the game more interesting. Imagine if Impostor could put a trap in one room and leave. Someone would then walk over the trap and die with no culprit around in sight.

In-Game Voice Chat

One of the fun elements of Among Us is trying to find out if someone is lying. The current chatbox system does work, but it’s much easier to lie through text than through live talk. It would be nice if players had the option to actually talk to each other using the microphone without using an outside app.

So, when players lie to each other, players can detect it from the way they speak directly without using text. The character of the player when lying can be judged by the way he talks and how to build an alibi. This will make the game more interesting right?

More Ways To Hide

Up until now, the Impostor had only one advantage when escaping from evil: through a nearby vent. Not only to escape to another room, but also to allow the Impostor to hide.

It would be more interesting if the developer added more ways for Impostor to protect itself from guesswork. This can be very beneficial for the Impostor when killing in an unventilated room as they may be the only way out. More ways to hide would also reduce the chance for the Impostor to get caught while killing someone.

This one feature might be difficult to implement, but what if Impostor had the ability to impersonate someone else in the lobby? It’s very workable but with the right limitations. Examples such as only limited usage per game for one spin.

This incognito feature can be used to frame others for the murder. And it can also result in others having to defend their alibis. No matter how it goes, this feature can be a really fun addition.
