Cooler Master MH630 Review: The Right Definition of a Gaming Headset

Cooler Master MH630 as a gaming headset has advantages that all headset products should have, namely comfort or convenience long-lasting comfort.

Headsets that we will wear to our heads or rather to the senses of human listeners (ears), comfort which in the long run is one of the keys or indicators of the quality of a headset.

This Taiwanese brand, whose logo is famous for its purple color, proves it through the Cooler Master MH630.

Gamedaim got the opportunity from Cooler Master Indonesia to review Cooler Master MH630. Check out his review below.

As the author said before, Cooler Master, which is a brand from Taiwan, is famous for its purple color.

This is evident in the box on the Cooler Master MH630 where all 4 sides of the box (except the front and back) are purple.

On the front of the box there is a picture of the headset, and the back describes the headset more.

Then the contents of the box were crowded, including: headset, detachable microphone, 3.5mm cable 1.5 meters long, splitter, pouch bag, manual book, and warranty card.

Given that this headset is intended for multiplatform, Cooler Master has provided a splitter so that we can use various devices. So this headset can indeed be used for PCs, consoles, and smartphones.

Minimalist Without RGB

Cooler Master Mh630 Housing Earcup Gamedaim Review

Cooler Master MH630 carries a 50mm diameter driver that has an oval shape. Its weight is in the range of 278 g if without cables or just the body headset. It feels light so it doesn’t put too much pressure on the head either.

The pad on the earcup is not hard but still feels soft when it touches the ear. The lining is made of fiber and not synthetic leather like a headset in general.

The author has used this headset for hours and it feels comfortable because it doesn’t feel stuffy.

Inside, there is a purple L & R icon as a direction marker. This section also has a layer of thin fiber to protect the headset driver.

Also, we can remove these earcup pads easily if at any time the earpads start to tear and we can replace them with new earpads.

Continue to the outside or the earcup housing.

This section has a plastic material that feels really solid and does feel premium. The finishing also feels soft when I touch it.

In the middle there is a Cooler Mater logo icon that forms like a silver hexagon. The icon is not printing but does have its own shape.

Then around the earcup housing has a purple color that is not RGB. At first I thought the purple ring was part of the RGB LED, but it’s not. This part is very striking even without the LED though.

Cooler Master Mh630 Button Port Gamedaim Review

Regarding the buttons and ports, the right side of the headset has no buttons or ports at all.

Then on the left side of the headset there is a volume scroll button, push model microphone, 3.5mm port, and a port for the detachable microphone that has a cover.

Adjustable Headband

Continue to the headband.

Cooler Master MH630 only carries a single headband made of plastic.

The foam or pad on the headband is also coated with fiber which feels thin but still soft when it touches the head. The pad also doesn’t completely cover the bottom of the headband, but only about 85 percent of it.

If the top of the headband is plain, there is no debossed logo or other things. This is why the author says that this headset seems minimalist.

Not to forget, this MH630 is very customizable.

Adjuster on the arm of the headband we can pull out easily. Not only that, this headset can swivel 90 degrees and can be in or out. This is what a gaming headset should have so that users can adjust the headset to the size of the head.

And one more.

I don’t recommend this headset for headbanging when listening to metal music, for example. Why? Because the padding isn’t too strong to stick to our heads, so try not to move too much.

Omni-Directional Detachable Microphone

Cooler Master Mh630 Hanging Microphone Gamedaim Review

The detachable microphone on the Cooler Mater MH630 makes the headset fairly portable. It’s not just the mic, the cable is actually detachable, let alone a pouch bag so we can take it anywhere easily.

The microphone of this headset is black and seems a bit long but it is very flexible because I can adjust it in any direction. The voice pickup model is omni-directional or from all directions.

You can see the results of the microphone recording below.

Less Bass, But Great for Gaming

Cooler Master Mh630 Flatlay Gamedaim Review

Less bass, but okay for gaming.

That’s the essence of the sound of the drivers that this headset produces.

The writer who usually uses the Rexus HX20 (daily driver) can really feel the bass. But when I tried the Cooler Master MH630, the bass wasn’t solid.

But again, maybe because this headset is devoted to gaming, so the bass doesn’t seem to be needed much except when listening to music or watching movies.

So the author then tried this headset to play CS:GO and Valorant.

When playing these two competitive FPS games, Cooler Master MH630 is very good and I can say that it’s really great for gaming.

Left and right audio separation can be heard clearly. The position of the sound of enemy steps or shots, for example, can also be heard clearly, whether it’s on the right or left, even the top right or bottom left is very clear.

Maybe this is the plus and minus of the MH630 sound.

Suitable for gaming, but for those of you who like the bass profile, unfortunately this headset is not suitable for you. Yes, back again, this headset is indeed produced for gaming use, of course.

Conclusion of Cooler Master MH630 Review

Cooler Master Mh630 Flatlay Microphone Gamedaim Review

The author’s conclusion for the Cooler Master MH630 is quite short. This headset is the right definition for a gaming headset.

The headset is very suitable for gaming use such as FPS which requires good drivers to position the sound. A bit less suitable for those of you who like the bass profile when listening to music.

But this headset is very portable because it can swivel, the adjuster is easy to adjust, and the microphone and power cable are also detachable. Not to mention the cushioning on the earcups and headband feels comfortable for a very long time of use.
