Get ready with the 2021 League of Legends Pacific Championship Series February 2021!

Riot Games, FunPlus Esports and Garena has announced the first season League of Legends Pacific Championship Series (PCS) which starts on February 8, 2021 later! PCS is the combined evolution of the League of Legends Master Series (LMS) and League of Legends Southeast Asia Tour (LST). The new league aims to continue to raise the stage of competition in Southeast Asia, Taiwan and Hong Kong, while creating a more engaging experience for fans.

We focus on collaborating with teams to develop their fan base and increase their competitive power while opening up additional financial opportunities. “

To ensure the strength and continuity of the league’s and associated squads, an extensive and multi-monthly squad inspection process is carried out on the basis of Riot’s global league operations.

While some of these allied forces and organizations are new to League of Legends, they have proven their dedication through success in the wider esports space. This list of different teams will be spread across several cities to allow for cross-country competition with local excitement at its roots. PCS will see the veteran sports squad against the new organization!

The PCS squad for 2021 is as follows:

  • ahq eSports Club (Taipei) – Founded in September 2012, ahq is one of the most well-known sports organizations in the region, having achieved competitive success in various sporting events, while representing the LMS region in various World Championships.

  • Alpha Esports (Taipei) – Alpha made his first appearance in Season 9 on LMS. With a new troop line-up, Alpha is looking for a name for itself in PCS.

  • G-Rex Gaming (Hong Kong) – Owned by Emperor Entertainment Group, G-Rex Gaming is one of Hong Kong’s most respected entertainment companies. Despite being a youth sports organization, G-Rex represented LMS in the World in 2021.

  • Hong Kong Attitude (Hong Kong) – Founded in 2021, Hong Kong Attitude is considered one of the major sporting organizations in the region and has competed in several World Championships, including this year’s event.

  • J Team (Taipei) – J Team started its work in 2021 LMS Summer Split and has consistently been ranked as one of the top teams in the region. They did very well in 2021, winning the LMS Summer Split and securing a place at the World Championships in Europe. J Team is owned by famous musician Jay Chou.

  • Liyab Esports (Manila) – In a short period of time, Liyab has become synonymous with Philippine esports. Having recently undergone a renaming and name change (formerly known as Mineski), the heart and spirit of the troops remain clear for the Philippines and they are hungry for recognition in the overseas rankings.

  • Nova Esports (Bangkok) – In mobile sports, Nova has won various world championships over the years and is committed to bringing their winning DNA to PCS. With their unique culture and style, they are willing to take on the old bodyguards of LoL’s professional sports.

  • Resurgence (Singapore) – Founded in 2021 with a vision to elevate the Southeast Asian esports scene, Resurgence (RSG) is Singapore’s largest sports organization.

  • Talon (Hong Kong) – Talon is an esports organization that has embraced
    The championship has participated in various sports events in Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea and Thailand. They set their sights on PCS and are committed to delivering an exhilarating and competitive fan experience.

Announcements regarding the 10th and final competing PCS squad will be announced in the new year.

Riot Games and FunPlus Esports are co-advocates and controllers of PCS, with Garena as publisher of League of Legends in Southeast Asia, Taiwan and Hong Kong. FunPlus Esports is the organization operating in the esports league, and from the FunPlus Phoenix Champion: the 2021 LoL World Championship.

As part of the approach to forming a new league, the competition format will also be harmonized. The number of games will increase from the previous season LST and will be the best with two elimination season finals. This final format will see the top teams represent them in the global rankings.

Due to the geographical diversity of the troops, online matches will be the starting point.

PCS broadcasts will be available in English, Chinese and Thai.
