Mineski and Execration Teams Successfully Get 1 Spot At WCA 2017 Through SEA Qualifiers

The qualifiers for the 2017 SEA regional World Cyber Arena tournament have just ended. Unfortunately, the Dota 2 team from Indonesia, RRQ or Rex Regum Qeon, failed to pass this qualification.

Qualification for regional SEA is carried out in 3 stages, namely open qualifiers starting in early June, closed qualifiers, and finally the final stage qualifiers.

The Mineski team, under the guidance of “Mushi” since March 2017 managed to get a direct invitation to the closed qualifiers round. Meanwhile, the Execration team entered as a substitute for the TnC Pro team, Team Faceless, Fnatic, and WG.Unity after the four teams did not participate in this event.

Initially the RRQ team was able to beat the Execration team at the beginning with a score of 2-1, then they had to accept the defeat of the Mineski team with a landslide score of 2-0. Then they returned with the Execration team. But unfortunately they were not able to repeat their game when they first met the Execration team who made it through to The International 7.

In the end, it was the Execration team who were able to take revenge and managed to win the match with a score of 2-0. After that they met Mineski’s team and they had to admit Mineski’s toughness and lost 2-0.

That way, the Mineski team and the Execration team managed to get 1 place at the 2017 WCA event. The following is the distribution of the SEA qualification prizes:

1st place: ~$29,000+ slots for WCA 2017 – Mineski
2nd place: ~$14,000+ slots for WCA 2017 – Execration
3rd place: ~$7,000 – RRQ
