MLG Vegas Holds $100,000 Overwatch and CoD Tournament
Major League Gaming will hold a three-day festival from the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, Las Vegas, United States. At the festival, entitled “eSports and digital culture celebration”, the Call of Duty World League and Overwatch tournaments will also be held.
From 16-18 December. The Call of Duty World League 2017 tournament will use the CWL Pro Points system and the “multi-stage format” commonly used in previous MLG CoD tournaments. The prizepool for CSL 2017 is $100,000.
As for the Overwatch tournament, 8 teams from North America (NA) will be invited to compete using the GSL format system, and compete for the main prize pool of $100,000. Which team gets an invitation will be announced later by the competition committee.
Meanwhile in a statement the organizers will implement improvements to the Overwatch tournament viewing experience, allowing players around the world to watch online with additional statistics and information available in addition to ongoing matches.
