TheMongolz Wins at the 2016 ROG Masters Asia Tournament
12 CS:GO teams gathered in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to compete in the 2016 ROG Masters Asia tournament which features a tournament prize pool of $50,000. The Mongolz as the champion after defeating dream[S]cape with a score of 3-0.
Previously dream team[S]cape, Leapfrog, Risky and TheMongolz passed the group stage to reach the semifinals. In the semifinals of dream[S]cape managed to beat Risky with a score of 2-0 and The Mongolz also beat Leapfrog with a score of 2-0.
In the grand final that brought together The Mongolz and dream[S]tired as they repeated their meeting for the third and fourth place in the 2016 eXTREMESLAND Asia Finals tournament, but this time in a best-of-five format.
The Mongolz had no trouble against their Singaporean rivals, they won 3-0 (16-4 at Cache, 16-12 at Mirage and 16-13 at Cobblestone) and took the grand prize of $23,750. The winner at ROG Masters Asia 2016 is The Mongloz’s second title, previously they won the IEM Taipei.
