After Release on Nintendo Switch, Metroidvania Game 'Micetopia' Confirmed To Go Mobile

The trend of new indie games that carry the metroidvania genre seems to be increasingly dominant over the last few years. Because the gameplay concept is relatively simple and the experiment room is wide, most games from this genre always end up with solid and consistent quality. Like Micetopia, for example, where the metroidvania game, which was once covered by radar, also has qualities to its own unique charm.

This game, made by developer Ninja Rabbit Studio and publisher Ratalaika Games, was actually released a few months ago on Nintendo Switch. However, in order to attract the attention of more new players, Micetopia is finally planned to be released on mobile platforms (Android and iOS). This announcement was made through a recent post on Crescent Moon Games’ official Twitter account, where they acted as the publisher for the release of this mobile version.

Judging by its appearance, Micetopia is a metroidvania game with lots of classic elements that many fans of this genre love. Starting from the exciting action-platforming gameplay, challenging gameplay with difficult enemies and boss challenges, to the emphasis on exploration. The appeal of this game also lies in the graphics with a charming pixel art style, especially when you look at the level design.

Crescent Moon Games also shared some screenshots of the game in a recent Tweet post. They will share more updates from the release of the mobile version in the near future. It will also be very interesting, of course, if the release of this mobile version will present additional content or new features that the original game does not have.
