Story of Seasons Mobile Game from Tencent Shares Its Latest Details

Maybe many still don’t know that Tencent Games is still working on the latest Story of Seasons game project for mobile. It’s not surprising indeed, because this project has not received updates since years 2019 then. In order to break the silence and increase the enthusiasm of fans, Tencent and Marvelous have finally released a collection of new artwork and screenshots of the game.

The latest collection of artwork shows the main characters, NPCs, one of which is even Major Thomas from the classic Harvest Moon series, and doesn’t miss in-game screenshots. One of the most striking differences in our opinion is the very strong anime-style art style approach, even for the Story of Seasons franchise itself. We still remember very well how the initial concept of the game actually had an art style that was more towards western games.

Apart from the collection of artwork and screenshots above, unfortunately no further information has been shared. One thing is for sure, at least we know that Tencent is still seriously working on its game project and has brought many changes since two years ago. If it will be released later, it is certain that this game is only devoted to the Chinese region first. Meanwhile, the global version may be handled by a different publisher, or it could be Tencent itself because recently they have dared to become a global game publisher.

In addition, the development of the game received considerable assistance from Marvelous, who reportedly provided many of the assets needed by Tencent to develop the game. We don’t know yet whether the latest assets that are more towards the anime style above are still made by Marvelous or not, but at least the impression of Story of Seasons still radiates in this mobile game. Surprisingly again, so far the assets shown in the game have been produced with very good quality and even on par with Story of Seasons games on consoles.
