Cross Legion Team and DDS Team Represent Bandung at the ROG Masters Indonesia Event

To strengthen its position in the homeland gaming industry, ASUS held the ASUS ROG Masters Indonesia grand event. This event is an opportunity to find talented gamers from the country who will compete to bring Indonesia’s name to the world level. Later, the champions who won the preliminary round at the state level (country qualifier) will represent Indonesia to compete in the ASUS ROG Masters International. As for the winners in the country qualifiers, they are entitled to take home prizes with a total of hundreds of millions of rupiah.

“ASUS ROG Masters Indonesia is not just a game competition. More than that, this championship is a kind of challenge to prove how great the capabilities of gamers in Indonesia are,” said Galip Fu, Country Marketing Manager of ASUS Indonesia. “The teams that will succeed in winning the country qualifier will be facilitated by ASUS to compete internationally at the world level,” said Galip again.

The ASUS ROG Masters Indonesia competition will be held online and offline. In the offline category, the qualifications will be held in four cities, namely Bandung, Medan, Surabaya and Jakarta. Meanwhile, participants who wish to take part in this competition but are outside of these cities can take part in the qualification which will be held online.

Meanwhile, on June 18, 2017, ASUS just held a qualifying round in Bandung. With a total number of participants of more than 400 people, and through 2 days of preliminary rounds to reach the final, ASUS finally managed to get the winner of each game, namely Cross Legion Team as Champion number 1 for games DOTA 2, and DDS Team as Champion number 1 for games Counter Strike Global Offensive.

The two winning teams are entitled to a slot to compete in the Semifinals in Jakarta which will be held in the third quarter of this year, as well as the opportunity to become Indonesian representatives who will compete in the qualifying round at the Asia Pacific level (APAC Qualifier) to compete for a prize of USD 500,000 or equivalent to Rp. 6.7 billion.

Registration for the ASUS ROG Masters Indonesia competition was opened on May 26, 2017. Both participants who want to take part in the DOTA 2 tournament or Counter Strike Global Offensive, can directly register through the ROG Masters Indonesia website above.

Also on the website, candidates can see what the rules or regulations for the competition are like. In addition to the website, information can also be accessed through the official ASUS Indonesia YouTube page and the ASUS Republic of Gamers Indonesia FanPage.

“In this competition, apart from being proud of whoever wins it later, we have prepared a total prize of hundreds of millions of rupiah and one ticket to take part in the APAC Qualifier for a prize of 500,000 USD or the equivalent of 6.7 billion rupiah,” said Galip. “We recognize that it is a very large number, but we also believe that it is the value that the winner of this competition deserves,” concluded Galip.
