Game Company from Bandung, Agate Studio Gets Funding of 13 Billion

The latest news is quite encouraging for Indonesia, especially in the field of the game industry. An Indonesian game company, Agate Studio, managed to raise funds in the amount of 1 million US Dollars or around Rp. 13 billion. This fund was obtained from a capital investment company from Indonesia, namely Maloekoe Venture.

For those of you who have never heard of the Agate Studio company, this game company has actually been in the game industry for a long time. Founded in 2009, Agate Studio has managed to continue to climb to become one of the leading local game companies. Currently, Agate Studio is known to have 70 employees.

And talking about the resulting game is also quite good. There are a total of more than 200 games that have been successfully produced by Agate Studio. And the games produced by Agate Studio itself are quite varied. Starting from big games, of course, in collaboration with other leading game companies, and there are also light games for entertainment of all circles which are produced for various platforms. Some of the leading games from Agate Studio that became hits include Football Saga, a free-to-play browser game with a football theme. Then there is Super Smash which is a game with the theme of badminton. Super Smash is the result of a collaboration with the well-known Indonesian cigarette company Djarum.

Arief Widhiyasa, the CEO of Agate Studio, himself stated that in Agate Studio there are two gaming divisions. A special division to work on big and serious games. Another division specializes in working on light entertainment-based games for all ages. Both of these divisions in their journey managed to achieve many achievements and profits. However, Arief himself believes that this is still not enough and Agate Studio can still continue to grow and requires large capital.

Talking about the figure of 1 million USD itself will not be achieved without investment from Maloekoe Ventures. The company itself can be considered as a new face in the country. This investment in Agate Studio is the first time the name Maloekoe Ventures has been heard in public. And some other information states that this investment company also has another investment in a startup company in the office stationery sector, namely Bizzy.

With this investment, Agate hopes that they can further develop their game division and give birth to new sub-divisions with more varied game productions in the future.
