More Beautiful Graphics, The Last of Us Part II Get Free Update to PS5 Version

PlayStation has been known as a console platform that always offers quality exclusive games in each generation. But of the many titles on the market today, The Last of Us is perhaps the most influential. Despite the controversy that the sequel, The Last of Us Part II, got, this game has proven to be able to offer high-end AAA game quality which we feel is very rare to find in any game.

With the presence of a new console generation that this time brought by PlayStation 5, Naughty Dog has prepared a special update for The Last of Us Part II so that it can be played with maximum quality on the console. Through its latest announcement yesterday, Update 1.08 for the game has been officially released and brings various upgrades for The Last of Us Part II in order to take advantage of the best PS5 performance.

Some of these upgrades include 60fps support with sharper graphics at high resolutions, faster loading times, and much more. Arne Meyer as a representative of Naughty Dog said that this is only the first step in their efforts to take advantage of the PS5’s performance, because it looks like there will be more new surprises that will be shared in the future.

Regarding The Last of Us, there were rumors that the first game would get a remake made exclusively for PS5. The remake project, which is codenamed T1X, is reportedly still being worked on at Sony, but now they are shifting its development to Naughty Dog. If this news is legit, then it could be that the game announcement will arrive closer than predicted, or it could be at the State of Play or the next big presentation event.

For those of you who are interested in the original game, The Last of Us is already available in a remastered version along with the sequel on PlayStation 4. You can still play the game series on PlayStation 5 with backward compatibility support and a special upgrade version for the sequel.
