Ni no Kuni II Will Release on Nintendo Switch in September 2021!

First debuted through the Dominion of the Dark Djinn series a decade ago, Ni no Kuni is a JRPG franchise that is quite well known throughout the world. A strong appeal through a beautiful fantasy world setting, an interesting storyline, to an art style with a Studio Ghibli touch are some of its strengths. While waiting for the release Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds which may take some time to become available globally, the Level-5 developer together with Bandai Namco prepared a new surprise for fans with the release of Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom on Nintendo Switch.

The game will be released in version Prince’s Edition which offers a variety of bonus content. Some of the content it offers includes the DLC Adventure Pack through new items, outfits, and dungeon extras, as well as new story content through The Lair of the Lost Lord and The Tale of a Timeless Tone. All of this additional content is guaranteed to make your playing experience more leverage, including the total playing time that automatically becomes longer.

For those of you who are still unfamiliar with the game, Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom is a sequel with a separate story from the original game. The story itself focuses on a young king named Evan Pettiwhisker Tildrum who is caught in a conspiracy that propels him on a grand adventure to build a new empire. The most striking difference from this sequel lies in the gameplay system that turns into an action RPG instead of turn-based, as well as the addition of a kingdom-building mechanism that really fits the concept of the story.

If you’re curious about the game, Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom is now available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. As for the new Nintendo Switch version, it will follow its release on 17 September. As for the first series, Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, it is already available on the same platform in the remastered version.
