Nostalgic JRPG Legendary, SaGa Frontier Remastered Now Officially Released!

The 90s was an experimental and golden moment for Square Enix as the most prominent game developer in Japan. Apart from the great success through Final Fantasy, they have also given birth to various other legendary JRPG franchises that are still remembered today. One of these franchises is SaGa Frontier, which although it hasn’t yet received a new series release, Square Enix has prepared a re-release in a remastered version for various platforms.

Incidentally, SaGa Frontier Remastered, which was announced in November last year, has now been officially released on many platforms. Apart from PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC, the game is also available on mobile (Android and iOS). Along with the release of the game, Square Enix released a nearly 8-minute long trailer which you can watch below:

Coming in a remastered version, this game offers improved graphics with better quality. The graphic assets have not been changed, but the details have been improved with high-resolution textures that are sharper and more pleasing to the eye, including the menu display and UI, which this time looks clearer. In addition to graphics, other improvements include the addition of Quality of Life (QoL) features such as 2x speed to make the tempo of the game faster.

The release of this remastered version still has another surprise through the presence of a new playable character named Fuse. The addition of characters is also accompanied by new story scenarios including a collection of quality soundtracks from Kenji Ito. Not to forget, several story cutscenes that were cut from the original game have now been added to the Asselus story scenario.
