Scarlet Nexus Ready to Release June 2021, Get Anime Adaptation Also from Sunrise

Developed as the latest action RPG game project from the God Eater and Code Vein development teams, it must be admitted that Bandai Namco puts a greater marketing focus on Scarlet Nexus. After providing a series of new details over the last few months, the developer is finally ready to release Scarlet Nexus in the near future, which is also accompanied by a new anime project.

So through its latest announcement, Bandai Namco confirmed that the Scarlet Nexus will be released on June 24 in Japan, which will then be followed by June 25 for the western region. The release this time is simultaneous for all platforms, so fans don’t have to worry about guessing that the game will be available exclusively on PC and Xbox first.

In addition to the release schedule, there is one more unexpected surprise that was announced, namely the anime adaptation project for Scarlet Nexus. The anime series is being worked on by studio Sunrise and is ready to air this summer. The storyline is clearly going to adapt the game, where Yuito Sumeragi and Kasane Randall are the two main characters who remain the focus of driving the story.

Scarlet Nexus tells the story of Yuito and Kasane who are each caught in the thread of an unexpected destiny as members of the Other Suppression Force (OSF). Apart from the fact that they have to carry out the task of protecting New Himuka from the threat of a monster organism called Other, Yuito and Kasane are finally reunited as enemies who each have their own point of view, including different partners who support them. Maybe this is why the developer decided to break the focus of the story for the two characters.

As for the gameplay portion, Scarlet Nexus is an action RPG that allows you to use psychokinesis skills that can be combined with the strengths of other OSF members. Even though Yuito and Kasane have powers based on the same psychokinesis, they are still equipped with very different weapons and movesets to make each character feel unique.

When will the Game and Anime Release?

So like the information above, Scarlet Nexus is scheduled to be released on June 25 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam. Meanwhile, the anime adaptation by Sunrise will soon air this summer.
