SK Gaming Team Comes Out as Champion of CS:GO ECS Season 3 After Defeating Team FaZe

SK Gaming is again showing the world that they are the best CS:GO team right now. After winning the DreamHack Open Summer tournament recently, now they are again the champions in the ECS Season 3.

Previously in the Semi Finals, the SK Gaming team had to face the Astralis team first, while for the FaZe team they had to face the Cloud9 team first. In selecting the map, the SK Gaming team chose the Mirage map as their mainstay, while for the FaZe team they chose Inferno and the 3rd map selected was Train.

The first map, Mirage, was quite surprising where it turned out that the FaZe team was able to take round 1 with a score of 10-5. But SK Gaming tried to get up and could catch up to 11-11. But then FaZe was able to provide resistance and damage the economy of SK Gaming and give them the momentum to win the first map with a score of 16-11.

For the second map, Inferno, it was the SK Gaming team that was able to steal round 1 first with a score of 9-6. Then the match went very fiercely where the game had to be completed with 3x overtime. Finally SK Gaming was able to come out as the winner in the second map with a final score of 19-17. Where Fernando “fer” Alvarenga from the SK Gaming team was able to shine with 31 Kills.

The third map, Train, is no less exciting than the previous map. Even though the SK Gaming team was able to score 13-2 in the first round, they couldn’t gain any momentum in the 2nd round because FaZe played very carefully and hard as their last match. It turned out that they were able to turn things around to 15-14 and prepare to become the champions of ECS Season 3. Unfortunately, SK Gaming then changed their strategy and did Rush A which forced Overtime again in this match. Once again, SK Gaming was able to play better in the Overtime round and managed to lock the win with a score of 19-17.

That way SK Gaming managed to become the champion in ECS Season 3 and was entitled to a prize of $250,000, – or around 3.3 billion Rupiah. Now they have the task of maintaining their performance at ESL Cologne which will be held on 4-9 July in Cologne, Germany.
