Supermassive Games Announces The Dark Pictures Anthology

supermassive games, developer British origin known as the creator of Until Dawn, a game genre horror adventure which was released exclusively for the PlayStation 4 which managed to get rave reviews from the public gamer, is preparing a new project for 2019. The title in question is The Dark Pictures Anthology, a project in collaboration with Bandai Namco Entertainment which consists of several characters cinematic horror games. The announcement was made by Supermassive Games at the opening ceremony of Gamescom 2018, which was held on August 21 in Koelnmesse, Cologne, Germany.

The inaugural title of the anthology is “Man of Medan”, adapting the legend about the ghost ship SS Ourang Medan in which according to the story, all the crew members were found lifeless with terrified expressions on their faces, as if they had witnessed a very terrifying figure at the end of his life. . Later, every games contained in The Dark Pictures Anthology will present new characters who will develop the story even further.

Based on storylineIn the film, Man of Medan tells the story of four American tourists who try to find the wreckage of a fighter plane that sank to the bottom of the ocean during World War II. But as time goes by, their adventure turns into a nightmare because in addition to dealing with bad weather, the four tourists are also faced with the appearance of a mysterious ghost ship that will change their lives.

Bandai Namco mentioned that during the game, gamer will control the five protagonists while following the development of the story, as in games Until Dawn. That way, players can find different perspectives from the same story, a branching story, to… ending different so that it gives replay value separately for Man of Medan.
