Xbox Insider Talks About Indiana Jones Game Exclusivity

Today, Bethesda has officially announced the new Indiana Jones to be developed by MachineGames. This game itself will be worked on together with Lucasfilm Games. In addition, this new game will have an original story produced exclusively by Todd Howard.

Because it was suddenly announced by Bethesda, Indiana Jones has become a hot topic of discussion for many gamers around the world. Moreover, there are many questions that question whether this latest Indiana Jones will be exclusively released for Xbox or not.

Indiana Jones Release Exclusively or Not?

A few random thoughts:
– Open positions suggested a new Wolfenstein is in development at MachineGames as well and further than Indiana Jones
– This is one of the “case-by-case” multiplatform games, maybe Game Pass

Especially when we know that Microsoft has recently officially bought Bethesda, even though basically the acquisition process has not been completed 100%. Xbox insiders were also present in this heated discussion of the fans. Klobrille, an Xbox insider, joined in after the Indiana Jones announcement.

Klobrille confirmed that Indiana Jones may be one of the games that Microsoft mentioned earlier. Which there are some games that are theirs but not exclusively released for Xbox only. This can also happen for a number of reasons.

Indiana Jones and the Platform to Go

Like the acquisition of Microsoft and Bethesda not yet 100% complete. In addition, it is also possible that Bethesda had been developing the game long before Microsoft made the acquisition of their parent company. This confirms that Microsoft was not actually involved in this project.

Because of this, Bethesda of course still has full rights to the license agreement that allows them to release this game outside of the Microsoft platform. But again this is just speculation at this time, it is possible that Indiana Jones will be exclusive to Xbox.

If it is exclusive to Xbox, Microsoft can use this to compete with Sony’s franchise, Uncharted. Indiana Jones will release exclusively or not until now there is no definite answer regarding this. Bethesda itself is still reluctant to tell which platform it will go to.
