PUBG Mobile 1.0 Update Brings New Erangel Map and Gameplay Changes

A new era has come to PUBG Mobile with the 1.0 update. Many changes come with this update, from gameplay modifications to visuals. Let’s discuss the list of changes brought by Tencent in this update.

New Erangel

Modifications for the Erangel Map itself in the form of New Erangel is the biggest feature in this update. Geography, buildings, and small details throughout the map have been optimized. An example is that iconic places like the Mansion and Military Base have been updated.

In addition, this update also brings other additions in the form of trenches, wooden barricades, abandoned tanks, and bunkers. The main purpose of adding these new elements is to give combat in rural areas more tactical options.

Livik Update

Besides New Erangel, Livik’s small map also gets an update. Some of these changes are just visual changes, balance, and bug fix. In addition, Livik gets a new weapon exclusive to Livik, the M1014 shotgun. With 7 rounds that can be reloaded at any time, the M1014 excels in close combat. M1014 can use shotgun muzzle and ammo belt attachment, making it the most effective shotgun compared to other shotguns today.

Cheer Park

A new addition to Cheer Park, is a private practice area. Players can use this place to practice shooting, throwing, and more. In addition, players can follow other players into Cheer Park to do battles or watch duels between other players in the new building next to the shooting range.

To bring someone special, Cheer Park has added a heart-shaped island to the center of its lake. To facilitate access, hot air balloons have been moved closer to the island. The island will be decorated with romantic accents such as a two-seater swing and a romantic boat.

Other Upgrades

The game lobby has been updated to make navigation easier for players. Classic weapons like Tommy Gun, UMP45, and DBS will get balance changes. Optimized character and Monster Truck controls. The Med Kit can be used on the move, and the Gyroscope can now be thrown.

In Arena Mode, shooting will eliminate invincibility from the player, and sliding has been changed to allow players to change the direction of their movement. Lastly, the opponent detection system for spectators has been improved. Besides the effect of security monitoring to the player system will be reduced.
