Project Athia Turns into Forspoken, Released in 2022
Last year was the year Square Enix introduced Project Athia for the first time. They announced this game through the PlayStation 5 event. Until now, information regarding Project Athia itself is still very minimal. But previously, there has been news that says that this game will be postponed to 2022.
Despite showing the first teaser trailer, Project Athia itself is still very mysterious. However, Square Enix itself has confirmed that Project Athia is an open-world game. Apart from the absence of information about what the game will offer later.
Project Athia
This game is planned to be formulated directly by Luminous Productions. This indirectly makes this project quite convincing because it will be developed by one of the core teams from Square Enix. They will also mix Project Athia with their own engine – Luminous Engine.
Through the first trailer that Square Enix showed, we saw a woman with the ability to control the elements as her strength. However, there are no further details after that regarding Project Athia. Reportedly, players will be able to move as freely as possible to explore the world that this open world game carries.
Game called Forsaken
Now, after a long time, Square Enix has finally provided the latest details regarding the Athia Project. This one game they will name Forsaken. You will play as a woman named Frey Holland who is stranded in a mysterious world called Athia.
There are various challenges that you will find in this mysterious world. You will survive with the various abilities you have in the game. Forspoken itself is planned to be released in 2022, without a definite release date for PlayStation 5 and PC.
